Welcome to the Faculty of Sciences and Information technology. In this modern world ICT is all pervasive, we all acquainted to it and there is hardly any individual or business that can survive without ICT. The societies of our world have been moving from agriculture societies to industrial societies and are moving towards becoming knowledge societies and ICT is the enabler of these changes. Historically ICT has been a main enabler of change e.g. printing technology, telephone, radio, TV and only lately computers, mobile phones and the internet. There are at least major ways in which ICT has changed our world.
